Scott York


Scott York is the Founder and President of York Consulting Group, LLC.

Previously, Scott spent twenty-four years in public service leadership positions, including sixteen years (four terms) as Chairman of the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors and four years as Sterling District Supervisor. Under his leadership, Loudoun transformed into one of the fastest-growing and most affluent counties in the nation, and a highly regarded place to live and do business.

As Chairman, Scott served on the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority; Northern Virginia Regional Commission; Dulles Corridor Advisory Committee; Virginia Association of Counties Board of Directors; Virginia Coalition of High Growth Communities Executive Board; Route 28 Transportation Improvement District; Loudoun Water Board of Directors; and Metropolitan Washington Council of Government’s Board of Directors, Transportation Planning Board and Water Resource Committee.

Scott has been recognized on numerous occasions for his leadership, including the 2015 Elizabeth and David Scull Metropolitan Public Service Award – Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments; 2015 President’s Award – Dulles Area Transportation Association; 2015 Virginia Association of Counties Supervisor Service Award; 2015 Northern Virginia Building Industry Association Service Award; 2015 Citizen of the Year Award – Loudoun Times Mirror; 2013 National Capital Regional Transportation Planning Board Chairman’s Recognition – Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments; 2013 Chairman’s Award for leadership in bringing rail to Loudoun – Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce; and 2011 Tower Award – Committee for Dulles. He has also received an honorary Associate of Humane Letters degree from Northern Virginia Community College.
